The event, dubbed the ‘Pro Wrestling Fight Club’ will entertain fans with an afternoon of intense action and over-the-top drama. The event, presented by Grapple MAX Dojo, Singapore’s only pro wrestling themed fitness school, wil be the first-of-its-kind in Singapore. Pro-Wrestling Fight Club is a physically demanding performance with an emphasis on audience interaction, and will showcase the talents of Singapore-based Grapple MAX Dojo trainers Greg Glorious, The Ladykiller and The Aerial Sniper. Also performing are Malaysian professional wrestlers The D, and the intimidating and imposing Gotham. “Our vision is to establish an authentic pro wrestling culture in Singapore and the region,” said Greg Ho aka Greg Glorious, 34, co-founder of Grapple MAX Dojo. “We want to increase mainstream demand for pro wrestling as fun, lifestyle fitness, and also for pro wrestling performances as a viable entertainment option. Grapple MAX Presents Pro-Wrestling Fight Club is part of our continuous effort to challenge the notion that pro wrestling is only a niche sport for dedicated fans. This groundbreaking event will be held on Saturday, 24th June at 5.45pm and is set in an intimate, no-frills space at Lepark Singapore, on the rooftop of People’s Park Complex. A limited number of advance tickets are currently being sold at $30 (http://pwfc.peatix.com), with door tickets at $40 available on the day itself. Fans interested to learn more can turn up earlier at 4pm for a special pro wrestling training workshop, adapted from Grapple MAX’s trademark Intro MAX programme. Intro MAX (Lepark Edition) promises to be a unique once-in-a-lifetime experience inspired by Japanese professional wrestling drills. Intro MAX will offer a complete end-to-end experience for the participant in a carefully curated session that begins with high-intensity mobility drills, followed by a series of gymnastics staples. Participants are then taught several basic professional wrestling moves, which they will string together for their first match performance. A recording of their performances will be provided to participants after the event.
