WWE Live Rocks Singapore

On 28 June 2017, WWE fans were treated to an amazing show at the Singapore Indoor Stadium where they go to see their favourite WWE Superstars from RAW in action, up close.

The WWE didn’t skimp on the stars with an impressive line-up of Roman Reigns, Bayley, Sasha Banks, Bray Wyatt, Cesaro, Sheamus, Seth Rollins, The Miz, Samoa Joe, Asuka, Hideo Itami and more.

It all kicked off with the legendary Chris Jericho who played his part as ‘Heel’ to perfection riling up the fans in typical Y2J fashion.

Facing off against Hideo Itami, Jericho showed that even after more than two decades, he’s still one of the best entertainers out there with a performance that was a great balance of athleticism and comedy. Watching him pull off his trademark ‘Lionsault’ live was truly a sight to behold.

The WWE Superstars themselves took every opportunity (within character) to meet and mingle with the fans, with more than one sweaty piece of apparel flung into the crown and into the grasping hands of an eager fan.

The fans themselves turned out in style with some dressed up even better than the WWE superstars themselves.

The WWE’s first Universal Champion, Finn Balor, put on an excellent performance with his unique style that’s a mix of the ‘American’ and ‘Japanese’ wrestling styles. The main event between Bray Wyatt and, probably the most divisive character in the WWE right now, Roman Reigns was a fitting end to the event.

Roman, a man who’s equally loved as he is disliked, had the crowd booing, and cheering, at the same time in typical WWE fashion. Dispatching the big man, Wyatt after a couple ‘Superman punches’, Roman proved that he truly does reign supreme.

Let’s hope it doesn’t take too long before the WWE pops back to this side of the world again. Till then, fans can catch the WWE Superstars on RAW – ‘live’ every Tuesday on Hub Sports 2 (StarHub TV Channel 202).
