CapitaLand malls in Singapore are exclusively rolling out an extensive line-up of hero-themed activities to delight shoppers both young and old as they await the most anticipated action-adventure feature film of the year, DC Comics’ Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, coming to cinemas 24 March 2016 from Warner Bros. Pictures.
Highlights include displays of 1:1 life-size statues of Armoured Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman as well as a replica of the latest Batmobile. Besides catching the movie screening in cinema halls in CapitaLand malls, shoppers can take part in a wide variety of thematic activities in our malls for an immersive DC Comics Super Hero experience of unrivalled scale and variety.”
Get close to the heroes of Gotham City and Metropolis
From today until 3 April, Bugis+ Level 2 Atrium will transform into a battleground for Batman v Superman. Set in a high-octane battle scene between the heroes of Gotham City and Metropolis, 1:1 life-size statues of Armoured Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman – measuring 2.2 metres in height – stand majestically, providing an Instagram-worthy photo backdrop for shoppers to snap away.
After taking photos, shoppers can live out their hero fantasies at the motion-controlled game zone which immerses players in different battle scenes from the movie. Supporters of Batman can experience the thrill of hurling the Dark Knight’s signature batarang weapon at villains, while fans of Superman can use The Man of Steel’s heat vision to clear obstacles while flying around Earth. Shoppers who are undecided about their favourite hero can try both game stations at Bugis+ from today until 3 April, and at Funan DigitaLife Mall from 14 to 20 March.
Take photos with the latest Batmobile replica
Batman’s sidekick Robin once said, “No policeman’s going to give the Batmobile a ticket.” Given the iconic status of Batmobile, fans of the Caped Crusader should not miss the chance to pose with this lean and mean fighting machine when the replica of the newest Batmobile featured in the movie vrooms into two CapitaLand malls.
The fully armoured and equipped Batmobile replica will be exhibited at Clarke Quay from today until 20 March, and at Westgate from 22 March to 7 April. If taking photos of this iconic vehicle is not enough, shoppers who spend a minimum of S$60 at Westgate can take home a complimentary instant print of themselves with the Batmobile replica in an exclusive photo sleeve.
Recharge with delicacies fit for heroes at Clarke Quay
Even heroes need to recharge after fighting villains and saving the world! In conjunction with the movie launch, selected dining establishments in Clarke Quay have launched specially-designed thematic dishes and drinks for fans to declare their allegiance to their heroes.
Throughout the month of March, The Butchers Club, will present its signature burger in two unique colour combinations to satisfy fans from both camps. The ‘B burger’ is served with charcoal buns, while the ‘S burger’ is served with a combination of blue and red buns. Party lovers can play the hero dress-up game and attend Batman v Superman costume parties organised by f.Club, Maziga Café and Club and Highlander Bar & Restaurant in Clarke Quay. Fans who come dressed up as their favourite hero enjoy a complimentary drink at these bars and stand to win attractive prizes.
Bring home exclusive collectibles
From today until 3 April, shoppers can redeem an exclusive Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice collectible with a minimum spending of S$180 over a maximum of three combined receipts on the same day at 16 CapitaLand malls.
There are a total of four designs in the series, namely Batman, Superman, Armoured Batman and Wonder Woman. Shoppers who have redeemed the full set of collectibles can participate in a lucky draw. Two lucky winners will each receive a pair of air tickets to Hollywood in Los Angeles, United States, and enjoy an exclusive Warner Bros. VIP studio tour.
Avid toy collectors should not miss the toy fairs taking place at Bugis Junction (7 to 27 March), Junction 8 (14 to 20 March) and Raffles City Singapore (21 March to 3 April). Selected items from the Hot Toys and Funko Pop collections brought in by Action City and Simply Toys respectively will be exclusively sold first at these toy fairs.
Create heroic art
Fans can battle it out with their imagination and take part in the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice fan art jam competition, organised by Warner Bros. Pictures and The New Paper. Interested participants can submit their original fan art of DC Comics heroes on tnp.sg and stand to win exclusive movie premiums and local premiere tickets. Selected entries of the fan art jam competition will be showcased at Funan DigitaLife Mall from 14 to 20 March, while the top 20 entries will be exhibited at Raffles City Singapore from 21 March to 3 April.
Art enthusiasts can attend workshops organised by the Association of Comic Artists Singapore in Funan DigitaLife Mall from 14 to 20 March to create their own Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice fan art. Artgerm aka Stanley Lau, co-founder of Imaginary Friends Studios, who produces high-quality artworks for the likes of DC Comics, will be signing Artgerm products and InkInk DC prints for lucky fans at Raffles City Singapore on 26 March.
Battle online to win movie passes
#CapitaLandmalls bring the #BatmanvSuperman battle online with a series of social media challenges for fans to vote #WhoWillWin. From snapping creative pictures with the Batmobile replica in Clarke Quay and Westgate to voting for their favourite heroes, fans have multiple online platforms to display their affection for their hero of choice. Winners of these contests will receive movie passes to catch Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Make little heroes’ dreams come true
A slew of fun-filled activities designed for younger fans will take place in CapitaLand malls from 14 to 20 March to coincide with the March school holidays.
