A little while ago, I had the opportunity to sit down with Marvel’s Vice President, International Development and Brand Management, Mr. C.B. Cebulski – basically, he’s involved in most things behind the scenes at Marvel… and the talent scout.
It’s almost every comic book fan’s dream to work in the industry. I, wanted to be an artist. To be fair, I came pretty close but the inability to draw that remotely resembles a hand (and any other body part) proved to be my undoing. But if you do have some talent, C.B. shares how aspiring comic book artists can get noticed by Marvel and a little about where most of the talent is coming out of Asia today.
Especially since the launch of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the House of Ideas is hardly just about comics anymore and C.B. gives us a little insight on the relationship between the comics and movies, and how they influence each other.
Also, C.B. picks one comic title to watch out for that he thinks will do really well to enchant fans and a new legion of readers.
