In both Batman Begins and many of the Caped Crusader’s comic issues, we see the Dark Knight as a warrior with extensive combat knowledge and training, often considered as a ninja with his mastery of weapons and stealth-based fighting techniques.
But how does he hold up against the likes of the Foot Clan!
Featuring the talents of writer James Tynion IV (Batman: Eternal, Constantine) and artist Freddie E. Williams (Robin, Captain Atom), Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will also sport variant covers by Turtles co-creator, Kevin Eastman.
While the pairing of heroes does seem to be a little out there, this isn’t the first crossover for either brand of heroes. Having just come off their successful crossover with the Ghostbusters so soon after a blockbuster hit with a sequel in production, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles brand is certainly ripe for further promotion.
Most importantly, Tynion, who has just ended his run on the incredibly well-received Batman: Eternal is no stranger to having larger-than-life characters battle evil on the gritty streets of a city.
Capes or half-shells; Ra’s Al Ghul or General Krang; League of Assassins or Foot Clan; Caves or Sewers… Gotham City or New York City? The battle for against evil has begun and the Batman & the Ninja Turtles are here to save the day!
