Return to the magical world of the Harry Potter saga in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, following the adventures of renowned magizoologist, Newt Scamander.
Inspired by a fictional in-universe textbook used by the students at Hogwarts, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them sees its protagonist in 1920s New York as he tries to recapture his escaped beasts.
Directed by Harry Potter veteran David Yates (who brought us the last four movies), with a script by first time screenwriter and creator of the franchise, J. K. Rowling, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is set for a November 2016 release with Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, Dan Fogler, Samantha Morton, Ezra Miller, Colin Farrell, Faith Wood-Blagrove, Jenn Murray, Jon Voight and Ron Perlman set to star.
And, yes, the voice at the end does sound an awful lot like Professor McGonagall though the character would not have been around given the era of the movie…
However, Newt Scamander does have a grandson, Rolf, who will go on to be the husband of fan favourite Harry Potter character, Luna Lovegood. So perhaps we may see young Rolf as a student in Hogwarts closer to present day, treating us to a fair few cameos by our beloved professors.
As long as they don’t crap all over the movie like Legolas in The Hobbit “trilogy.”
