If you haven’t already heard, Final Fantasy VII‘s getting a remake. And their demo is out now!
And because Square Enix doesn’t do things small (at least not where Final Fantasy is concerned) they’ve announced that the playable demo for the game will be made available a good month prior to the actual game’s release. Reimagining what is arguably one of the most critically acclaimed games ever, the Final Fantasy VII Remake is now available to download for free on the PlayStation 4.
The demo will not only allow you to revisit the iconic Mako Reactor 1 bombing mission, but also make you eligible for additional free content – a PlaySation theme if you download the demo before May 11.
Final Fantasy VII is a reimagining of the iconic original game that re-defined the RPG genre, diving deeper into the world and its characters than ever before. The first game in this project will be set in the eclectic city of Midgar and presents a fully standalone gaming experience that provides a great starting point to the series.
Along with unforgettable characters and a powerful story, Final Fantasy VII features a hybrid battle system that merges real-time action with strategic, command-based combat.
Rebuilding and expanding upon the legendary RPG for today, Final Fantasy VII tells the story of a world fallen under the control of the Shinra Electric Power Company, a shadowy corporation controlling the planet’s very life force as mako energy.
In the sprawling city of Midgar, an anti-Shinra organization calling themselves Avalanche have stepped up their resistance. Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra’s elite SOLDIER unit now turned mercenary, lends his aid to the group, unaware of the epic consequences that await him.
So, unless for whatever reason you’re not into playing a game with some of the most beautiful graphics backed with years of rave reviews, be sure to grab the demo on the PlayStation store now!
The exclusive theme will be available to download from April 10, 2020 if you download the
demo before May 11, 2020.
