Heineken Promotes Responsible Drinking with Player 0.0 Racing Competition

Heineken is reinforcing its commitment to responsible drinking with the launch of Player 0.0, a global mobile and simulator racing competition that supports the brand’s When You Drive Never Drink campaign. This initiative highlights that racing isn’t just about speed and intelligent decisions.

During the 2024 Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix, Heineken crowned Singapore’s first Player 0.0 champion, continuing its focus on responsible consumption through the exciting combination of gaming and racing.

The only drink on the podium was Heineken 0.0, a premium zero-alcohol lager brewed with Heineken’s unique A-yeast and natural ingredients, offering a perfectly balanced taste without the effects of alcohol.

This underscores Heineken’s commitment to promoting responsible drinking. Fronted by three-time Formula 1 World Champion Max Verstappen, the Player 0.0 campaign has become crucial to Heineken’s global efforts to promote responsible drinking.

Since its Singapore launch in August, the Player 0.0 mobile game has attracted over 11,000 plays in less than a month, with participants eager to prove their skills.

The competition culminated in a live event at Capitol Outdoor Plaza from 18 to 22 September, coinciding with the Singapore Grand Prix. The top 100 racers faced off in five intense rounds of racing simulator action, showcasing speed, safety, and skill.

After an electrifying final showdown, Samuel Long emerged victorious, claiming the title as Singapore’s first-ever Player 00 champion.

In December, Samuel will represent Singapore at the global finals in Madrid, Spain, as part of the prestigious GAMERGY Esports and Gaming Festival.

He will compete against Player 0.0 champions worldwide and, in an exciting twist, have the unique chance to meet and learn from Heineken 00 ambassador Max Verstappen.
