Relay For Life (RFL), a global movement founded in May 1985 by American Cancer Society in Tacoma, Washington, has since grown into a worldwide phenomenon, raising about $5 billion to fight cancer. Close to 4 million participants take part in RFL across the globe annually, making it one of the world’s largest fundraiser.
Singapore is the 25th member country to organise RFL. First held in Singapore 4 years ago, the Singapore Cancer Society (SCS) aims to rally the local community once again to celebrate the lives of those who battled cancer, remember loved ones and fight back against the disease.
The 15 hour overnight is open to public, who can join as a team or as an individual, to walk or run alongside our cancer survivors on the tracks to symbolise that no one fights cancer alone.
The overnight event represents the long and arduous battle that cancer patients face on the road to recovery and fight against cancer never stops. You can even take the relay to the next level by being part of the 100km challenge!
In addition to the relay, ehe event highlights include live performances, workout sessions and carnival activities for everyone. Benjamin Kheng, Narelle, and Jack & Rai will be some of the artistes performing at the event.
