Peacemaker, starring John Cena as the eponymous character, debuts same time as the U.S. on Thursday, January 13 only on HBO GO.
Peacemaker will explore the origins of the character that Cena first portrayed in James Gunn’s 2021 film, The Suicide Squad, currently available on HBO GO.
Peacemaker is a compellingly vainglorious man who believes in peace at any cost, no matter how many people he has to kill to get it.
The series also stars Danielle Brooks as Adebayo, Freddie Stroma as Vigilante, Jennifer Holland as Harcourt, Steve Agee as Economos, Chukwudi Iwuji as Murn, and Robert Patrick as Auggie Smith.
Gunn wrote all eight episodes of Peacemaker and directed five episodes. Gunn, Peter Safran and Matt Miller serve as executive producers on the series, with Cena as co-executive producer.
Based on characters from DC, Peacemaker is produced by Gunn’s Troll Court Entertainment and The Safran Company in association with Warner Bros. Television.
Fans can stream or download Peacemaker from January 13 but can also get introduced to the character first in Gunn’s 2021 film, The Suicide Squad, which is now available on HBO GO.
HBO GO is available via StarHub, Singtel and meWatch. HBO GO is also available on Android TV, Apple TV, LG TV and Samsung Smart TV – and comes with AirPlay and Google Cast functionality.
