Get ready for a fun-filled weekend of pawsitive art and wellness as PetExpo, Singapore’s largest pet fair, returns for its fifth edition from 6 – 8 April 2018 at Singapore Expo Hall 7. This year, partnering with artistes Paul Foster and Vanessa Vanderstraaten, as well as Good Dog People to create art and dog fashion; proceeds from the sales will be donated to selected animal welfare groups.
Pawrents can look forward to a relaxing morning of yoga with their dogs, learn to manage pet health problems and emergency situations, and shop from local pet-preneurs in PetExpo’s first ever Made in Singapore Square, along with over 60 other vendors across the 5,500 square feet hall. Animal lovers looking to open up their homes can also cosy up with animals from 14 participating animal welfare groups at the AVA’s speed-dating style adoption drive.
Pawsitive Art & Pet Fashion Showcase
Artistes Paul Foster and Vanessa Vanderstraaten have come together with their furkids to each create a 24″ by 30″ canvas painting in an exclusive collaboration with PetExpo 2018. The paintings will be up for silent auction during the three-day fair, and full proceeds will go towards their adopted animal welfare groups – Animal Lovers League and Cat Welfare Society, respectively.
Additionally, Good Dog People, a new breed of responsible pet company and Singapore’s Godfather of Fashion Daniel Boey have also come together to present the “Good Dogs & People” fashion runway, a specially curated showcase featuring dog fashion created by Singapore creative personalities and fashion labels, including Thomas Wee, Binary Style, ohpopdog and Carrie K. The show aims to raise awareness for responsible dog ownership and to encourage people to #AdoptNotShop, with part of the proceeds being donated to animal welfare groups.
Pet owners can also unleash their creativity using upcycled materials to create an outfit for their pets to strut down the runway in the “Artsyfartsy” Pawgeant Show or participate in the Design-a-Tote Workshop.
