Love watching and creating short-form videos? You probably already have a TikTok account. Why not try and kickstart your TikTok stardom with the inaugural TikTok All-Star Southeast Asia competition?
It’s open to six markets in the SEA region, including Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. As the premier destination for short-form mobile video, TikTok’s talent competition aims to find and incubate new creators in Southeast Asia.
From 8 to 14 November, TikTok users in Singapore can participate simply by uploading and hashtagging their original creations! Flaunt your creativity and tag those posts in three different categories:
Talent (Dance, singing, art, crafts, street performance, etc.) #TalentAllStarSG
Acting (Comedy, Acting, Parody, Story-telling, etc.) #ActingAllStarSG
Lifestyle (Vlog, Food, Travel, Pets, Fashion, Sports, etc.) #LifestyleAllStarSG
The top 60 videos in each country will proceed to a round of public voting, where the best 10 finalists in each category will go up against the cream of the crop at the regional level. Singaporean users can vote for their favourite videos by clicking the TikTok All-Star Southeast Asia 2019 banner from 15 to 18 November.
The regional competition will be held from 21 to 25 November, with the champion crowned on 1 December. A total of US$12,000 of prizes will be given out to the winners of 16 different awards. You can find a full list of the awards here!
A star-studded panel of judges will be watching your content to determine the winners. Celebrities like Ngo Kien Huy, WOODY, ANJI, Elizabeth Tan, Rico Blanco, and RRILEY won’t just be judging the competition, but will be sharing their favourite tips and tricks in creating a powerful short-form video.
