UBISOFT Announce RAINBOW SIX SIEGE Tournament For Southeast Asia

Ubisoft announced that an online community tournament will be taking place in Southeast Asia from July to September as a warm-up tournament event in anticipation of the Pro League competition.

The online community tournament is a move by Ubisoft to respond to the positive comments by the local communities as well as Ubisoft’s commitment to continue building a sustainable game backed by the communities’ support, feedback and enthusiasm. This is the first time that Ubisoft is hosting a Southeast Asia focused online tournament for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege.

This quarterly Community Cup competition will kick off with a three-month tournament to seek the best Rainbows Six teams monthly. From July to September, a monthly final game will be hosted in the last week of each month. Each team which is participating in the community tournament will have to work together to earn as many points as possible from the games in the Open Qualifier of the first three weeks.

The top eight teams will enter the monthly final game to compete head to head against each other for the crown. The top three of the winning team will be entitled to exciting cash prizes. The competitions can be viewed live with commentary on Ubisoft Southeast Asia Twitch, YouTube channel and Facebook fan pages.

Since the release of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, it has been one of the most popular tactical first-person shooter games in the world with a thriving community. The game maintains popularity through free updates which continuously introduce new Operators as well as new maps to play with. With Canada, USA, Brazil and Japan introduced last year, Year 2 features Spain, Hong Kong, Poland and South Korea. The newest season “Operation Hong Kong” will kick off in late August, along with two unique SDU operators and one map.

The application for each Open Qualifier starts on Monday at 00:00 (UTC+8) in the first three weeks of every month.  Interested gamers can SIGN-UP HERE.
